Valentine's Day is not just Valentine's Day anymore - in fact, it has taken a back seat to a much more important and meaningful day - National Donor Day! A day to celebrate and honor all the amazing gift that donors so gracefully leave behind.
So on Sunday, as you are eating chocolate and cutting paper hearts, take a moment to think about all the donors who have left behind a piece of themselves. And how absolutely amazing it is that those pieces continue to grow and foster new hopes, new dreams, and a completely new chance at a life well lived.
Matilda's donor had such a short life of only two weeks - yet held the potential to save up to 8 lives. So eight little ones could be living joyful lives just like Matilda - healthy and happy and ready to take on the world. Eight little ones saved because of the selfless act of organ donation.
