Sometimes life isn't as magical as we hope it will be. Sometimes you feel sick. Sometimes your timeline dictates an event. Sometimes you have to push forward and make things better than they really are.
Yesterday, we went to go chop down a tree. The kids and I were hacking up a lung or two and the frigid wind was freezing our snot drenched noses. And, that was followed by cranky exhaustion for the rest of the day.
But, we did it and we didn't complain. We let Parker lead the way. We let Matilda make the final decision. And, we let Tyler do all the heavy lifting.
It didn't feel magical, but I bet when we look back at it in years to come, we will see pure magic. Because any time spent together on an adventure is perfectly blessed, whether we feel sick or not.
Happy tree hunting - even if it is in the middle of the city or a vacant parking lot or a grocery store.
