I find that our days move along more joyfully if there is a project involved. The excitement of planning, setting up, making something, playing, and cleaning up seems to create an atmosphere of working together that is appreciated by everyone.
On this day, we decided to make our own play dough. After a quick search on pinterest we decided to go with the two ingredient conditioner play dough. Mix together one part conditioner with two parts cornstarch. Simple enough.
Matilda loved that she was in charge of holding the bowl. Parker loved playing with the dough. And I loved that everyone was entertained for a solid hour. Even if I was reminding Matilda not to put the dough in her mouth every two seconds.
