Over the last month, the balance between Parker and Matilda has been off. As Matilda shows more independence and acquires new skills, Parker becomes more needy and yearns for attention. So my solution has been to change their nap schedules so that I have quality play time with each of them individually. And although I lose some alone time, I am gaining peace.
Now when Matilda wakes up Parker gets excited and showers her with love and kisses. And when Parker wakes up Matilda claps and squeals with joy. They really do love each other. These are the moments I want to take the time to breathe in so that when they are older and driving me crazy, I can remember just how sweet they really are.
