But yesterday I also learned the saddest news. Parents of transplant candidates/recipients often email me. Those are the emails I look forward to receiving and are why I write this blog. A sweet little five month old Sophia went to Heaven on Sunday. Her mom has been writing to me since July in anticipation for the transplant that took place on August 7th. She was so beautiful and so loved. My heart is heavy with sadness and I cannot imagine the pain her parents are feeling. Please keep them in your prayers.
