icehouse

Parker snuck into our bed early this morning. He has not done that in such a long time and it was so nice. Then after leaving with his grandparents to go shopping he told them, "I miss my mama." And tonight we just held each other as he fell asleep. I wonder if being with Ben and Kathy (who are visiting from Montana and who he stayed with for three months while Matilda was in the hospital) is bringing back feelings of worry and sadness. He is so sweet, and I still wonder how all of this has affected him.

I had big plans for the day, but our adventures were put on hold after finding blood in Matilda's diaper this morning. The theory is that her little cold was brought on by a viral infection that irritated her system enough to cause mild bleeding. The next 24 hours will tell us more.

Parker has been asking me if we could take his grandparents to the ice cream factory (it's not a factory, and that is not the name, but that is what Parker calls it). And after promising the transplant team that I would not worry too much, I decided there was no better time for a walk to get ice cream.
