a quick medical update

We drove to Syracuse this morning for a scheduled appointment with Dr. Beg (the doctor that initially referred Matilda to Mount Sinai). He is such a lovely man and is always such a joy to see. He pinched Matilda's cheeks and giggled with delight at how well she is doing.



We started the prednisolone (steroid) wean last Saturday and so far things seem like they are going well. We will take Matilda for labs on Friday to confirm everything is looking good.

She is in the 50th percentile for her height-weight ratio. Right now she is 16lb 6oz and 26 inches long. We might see a dip in her weight next time with the reduction/removal of her steroid.

All in all, she is healthy and well!
