In this post, I mentioned that Tyler named Matilda's doll Ruby. She got the doll in her stocking for Christmas and we had decided that it would be her lovey. We had gone back and forth about a name. I wanted her to be named after one of Matilda's nurses, but Tyler kept telling me that her name was Ruby. I would ask him why and he would simply tell me that that was the doll's name. It was not until after that post that it was brought to my attention the true meaning of Ruby by a friend.

Ruby Jane is a baby, not much different than Matilda. She is a beautiful gift and I feel blessed to have found her. I like to think that it was because of Ruby that Matilda got her liver. Brace yourself and grab some tissues - this video will move you.
